There’s a lot of things I want to tell you about this hike that isn’t emphasised in the video. 1. Check the Parks website for accessibility, COVID restrictions at time of writing may mean certain areas are off-limits. 2. Bring a bike. A bitumen road cuts along the length of Point Nepean which is access only to walkers, cyclists and the shuttle bus. The road has a gentle gradient, making it perfect for cycling past all the boring bits but keeping you flexible enough to stop on a whim at the many feature points along the way. 3. Australia’s former Prime Minister, Harold Hold disappeared on Cheviot Beach, despite its quirkiness I couldn’t fit that one in.
This isn’t for the pure nature lover that wants to get away from it all, but for geography and history lovers this is one to savour.
